Yes, Genes DO Affect your personality

Meta study proves that genetics influence many personality traits.

They are very careful to repeat several times that just because genes affect things it is not all written forever in stone (but we all know it’s at the very least permanent graffiti!).

And of course they mention nothing at all about race. Except we already know from other, less publicised studies, that certain ethnicities and races have certain genetics that predispose them to things like violence, short term time preferences, and so on.

No one wants to say these things out loud, because they are a social minefield, of course, but facts are still facts. There are pretty clear general biological difference between the main racial groups, which anyone paying attention knows.

And while I have no problem at all saying and truly believing, every human being has an equal right to life, respect and so on, it is also a fact that certain groups of people, are less likely to extend the same courtesy to me, purely because of the colour of my skin. Or my nationality, culture, eye-colour, or whatever. At which point, well… they then get the same treatment back from me.

And remember: generalisations are still factually valid. I have no problem saying the average Japanese is far more polite than the average Italian. So why do you have a problem admitting the average pet is far less safe around the average Haitian than the average Caucasian American?

Face the ugly truth and smile buddy; c’est la vie!
